Sports injuries has increased for the adolescent of today. They are doing more sport activities, and not just one sport. With football, soccer, softball, basketball, swimming, and hockey. The teenager of today ends up with a lot of injuries, that do have a lasting life long effect. There are so many adolescents that have knee, elbow, and neck injuries They are at greater risk of these injuries having a lasting effect, due to the fact that they are not finished growing yet. Cheerleading is another sport on the rise for injury. There are crisis intervention programs that assist teens when they have been injured, and are need of service, and support. Some athletes benefit from a strength and conditioning programs. This was designed to develop their athleticism and sports performance. A knee injury is very common in the sports world today. However, it has a lasting effect, that may well go into adulthood for the adolescent of today. With the competitive rituals that adolescents have to live up to these days, it's easy to get an injury while trying to keep up on their game.
